Hello! I’m Kyrsten!
I am a multimedia graphic designer from San Antonio, TX. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication from the University of Texas at Arlington. I like to tackle challenging problems, make an existing process more efficient, and engage the audience with beautiful visual experiences. I think of big pictures, but also sweat the details.
I have 11 years of experience working directly with small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, with nine of those years collectively designing in-house at two different companies. I thrive in a collaborative environment where I can drive process and feel a sense of ownership and pride in my work. Building brand identities and crafting visual tales is my passion. My experience includes a wide range of interests and industries, from hospitality to technology, agriculture, education and retail.
For the past 7.5 years, I have been working in-house designing various deliverables for a diverse range of restaurants, venues and attractions under the La Cantera Resort & Spa umbrella. This has taught me to master the use of hierarchy, colors, and typography, as well as how to position many brands, within one to send the right message to a target audience. Additionally, I have been given the opportunity to challenge myself and develop in-depth, long-term solutions, and that itself is a rewarding process.
I am a complete design nerd, and I am beyond blessed that I get to fill my days making pretty things. I love working closely with my clients & individuals to create custom designs that celebrate their company or brand.
The fun stuff: I live in San Antonio with my fiancé Matt and our badly behaved (but very cute) mini Goldendoodle, Tater. My music collection ranges from Morgan Wallen to old-school Usher, to Taylor Swift (Folklore is my favorite album). In my kitchen you will always find cheese, most certainly of the ‘string’ variety, and I never ever run out of caramel macchiato coffee creamer. On my TV you’ll either see Ross & Rachel, Kramer, Chip & Joanna or Cleetus McFarland… Matt is a super fan of car videos; I like to nap to them. On Saturdays you’ll find me sewing a new outfit, snuggled up with a good book, or painting.
Interesting fact: I once side-hugged Katherine Center at a bookstore in downtown San Antonio and I am still recovering! In 2023, when Tater was 3 months old, she had to have 18 rocks surgically removed from her stomach after attending an all you can eat rock buffet at Down on Grayson.
Let’s design something beautiful!
I am always looking for new opportunities and am passionate about graphic design. Please get in touch and I will contact you as soon as possible.
